The Literacy Coalition's Health Literacy Initiative aims to improve the health of our community through better patient-provider communication and increased access to healthcare and health-related information.

The national movement to promote health literacy has sparked the development of new organizations and programs within existing organizations that are devoted to improving the health literacy of our communities.

LCCT has chosen a handful of high-quality, reliable health literacy resource databases to assist you in promoting effective health communication and a healthier community.

Be sure to check-out our Downloads page to access the Central Texas Healthcare Resource Directory and Health Literacy Instructional Manual for Adult Educators.

Users can search the database to find accurate online resources for healthcare providers, adult educators, and advocates. The Literacy Coalition updates the links and resources available on an ongoing basis.
