The Literacy Advancement Initiative (LAI) is an instructor training and retention program to increase the number of quality ESL classes available in Central Texas. The Initiative provides free, effective, evidence-based adult literacy instruction. Through this initiative, the Literacy Coalition recruits, trains and refers volunteer instructors.
Training Institute for Instructors of Austin area ESL (English as a Second Language) Classes
The Literacy Coalition is currently offering free, evidence-based ESL instructional training for instructors and new volunteers in the community. Trainings will be offered on a monthly basis until December 2009. For more information or to register, please contact Nichole Lopez.
