|
The Literacy Advancement Initiative aims to build the capacity of Central Texas literacy service providers by increasing the number of literacy volunteers and volunteer instructors, improving the quality and retention of existing instructors, and supporting the professional development of literacy program staff.
The Initiative provides free, effective, evidence-based adult literacy instruction. Through this initiative, the Literacy Coalition also recruits, trains and refers volunteer instructors, with the ultimate goal of increasing the number of quality literacy classes in our community.
