ABC CANADA Launches Multimedia Campaign for Family Literacy Day
TORONTO, Nov. 27, 2008 – ABC CANADA Literacy Foundation and zig today announced the launch of a new multimedia marketing campaign to promote Family Literacy Day. The national campaign uses a variety of media to pose interesting questions. The questions are accompanied by the tagline, “If you read with your kids, you’ll know more,” to drive home the idea that taking part in learning activities as a family benefits not just the child, but the adult as well.
Time is running out to win a fun, family experience featuring best-selling author Robert Munsch
TORONTO, Nov. 12, 2008 – ABC CANADA Literacy Foundation today announced the 30-day countdown to enter the fourth annual Munsch at Home contest for a chance to win a visit from Robert Munsch, best-selling children's author and honourary chair of Family Literacy Day® (FLD).
Canadian families have until December 12, 2008 to send ABC CANADA their contest entries, including a short description of how they plan to celebrate FLD. Click here to enter the contest.
Adult Literacy

Family Literacy

Families that spend at least 15 minutes a day doing a learning activity can improve their literacy skills and build lasting traditions. Spend family time reading with your children, playing a game like Scrabble or even following a recipe together.
